MediaevalJo It's got a spaghetti western tone and just kinda nails the atmosphere. With the hip hop vibes in the background it makes it pretty refreshing too. Favorite track: The Grand Fork Pass.

Song title: VILLAIN’S THEME by Vincent DeCowans (written & composed by Vincent Deshaies) (verse 1) You’ve never seen somebody like this He walks into a place and acts like he owns it And everybody in there loses their wits ‘won’t look him in the eye and bite their lips (chorus) He’s… Bad, Bad as Leroy Brown The baddest man in the whole damn town He’s as… Bad, Bad as Leroy Brown The Baddest man (verse 2) The baddest man in the whole damn town Folks close shutters when word spreads he’s coming ‘round He always stomps on some poor clown Who’s wife’s gotta beg him not to put her man in the ground (verse 3) Now what could make a man so mean With fire in his eyes like his veins pump kerosene A wrong move’ll bring trouble and fast He’s quick to pull the pistol ‘put some bullet holes through some hats

Song title: SUITCASE ANNIE by Vincent DeCowans (written & composed by Vincent Deshaies) (chorus) Get your suitcase Annie, I think it’s time for you to go Say farewell to your friends, and hope and pray We may meet again… some brighter day (verse 1) In hopes of better, and of best To somewhere quiet, somewhere to rest Away from threats, well in the cradle, of safety’s vest (verse 2) Now love don’t worry, or fret The world is your oyster, and you’re it’s net So go forth brave, with looking back, and never forget (verse 3) Just send us letters, when you can Let us know, the wheres and the whens If we don’t write, trust that we’re fine, just busy again

Song title: STAINLESS STILL by Vincent DeCowans (written & composed by Vincent Deshaies) How can but a normal man judge what is fact or myth To sort out truth from false today, too few possess a sift I pray to heaven daily to send our town the one The long awaited promised son with a good heart and a gun I’ve alway found admirable, I guess I always will One who never slips… Stainless still Here there’s not a clean slate a townshipper could boast Our names have all been muddied up, our closets all have ghosts The pastor and the mayor are no different than the rest For losing faith and going against what we all know is best It’s vacant on the pedestal, it’s mighty shoes to fill One who never slips… Stainless still Is there such a man who stands as high as the legend does? I look at all the folks i know and they wouldn’t last two seconds There’s strangers that i’ve come across who seemed so prodigal It’s hard to say from far away if they did fit that bill The holy and desirable, that those in power kill One who never slips… Stainless still

Song title: THE DUEL PT. 1 by Vincent DeCowans (written & composed by Vincent Deshaies) There’ll be only one of two men left in the end When the clock strikes death There’ll be only one of two men left in the end When the clock strikes death The sun is scorching hot, ‘smells of rot, something’s dead A starving vulture flock, kettles and hisses overhead The clock is soon, to strike high noon, let the lunch bells ring See the buzzards fly on down, hear the angels sing

Song title: ALL OUR TRUST by Vincent DeCowans (written & composed by Vincent Deshaies) All our faith misplaced in you As saints laid down when devils drew All of it untrue He ate the flesh and drank the blood Prayed the prayer and kneeled in mud All of it for you

Song title: GAMBLER’S RAMBLE by Vincent DeCowans (written & composed by Vincent Deshaies) (verse 1) Finally the chance to dance with fate Danced like hell’s fire, I lit the lake Forecast called, ‘skies to fall Didn’t hesitate at all I held her hand… God or Satan (verse 2) Such a time would a man go straight Not willing to risk it or make a fool’s mistake Safest bet, money set Cards put down with no regret I knew I’d win… God or Satan (verse 3) With the prize in mind one keeps the grip No expenses spent on stutters and lip slips Never fear, never care What they say, or what they hear Stick to the plan… God or Satan (verse 4) Always got that something up my sleeve The trick is in the knowing the right time to retrieve Ace & ace, heart & heart Give or take the better card When to save or spend… God or Satan

Song title: THAT’S THE ONE by Vincent DeCowans (written & composed by Vincent Deshaies) (verse 1) That’s the one you’re looking for You’ve never witnessed or have seen this caliber before Don’t seem like much but he’s been through the piece and through the war Ate the apple, sowed the core Seen the devil, met the lord Up through the ceilings… down through floors That’s the one you’re looking for (verse 2) That’s the one you’re looking for You’ve known the posters and have contemplated the reward But always wondered if he held a pen or held a sword Liar or man of his word Jagged or smooth as an orb Hated… or adored That’s the one you’re looking for (verse 3) That’s the one you’re looking for The long awaited son the virgin mother Mary bore How’d you not recognize he always shared what he could poor Took of his and made it yours Played but never counted score No doubt… you can be sure That’s the one you’re looking for

Song title: THE SECOND DUEL by Vincent DeCowans (written & composed by Vincent Deshaies) There’ll be only one of two men left in the end When the clock strikes death There’ll be only one of two men left in the end When the clock strikes death The church bells ring twelve times, the busy street somehow’s bare The store door hold up signs, written closed, no one’s there The rumbling of horses’ hooves halts to stomping spurs The kind of moment folks recall exactly where they were

Song title: THE UNDERTAKER WINS AGAIN by Vincent DeCowans (written & composed by Vincent Deshaies) The undertaker wins again Another dead, when will it end? When? When? I’ve got no tears left to cry Lord I prayed them not to die Why? Why? Will they be up in the clouds? There to great me by the crowds And well? Well? When I turn around to see, All the gravestones in the yard All the closest ones to me, Were murdered under our God’s guard And I try to understand What it is he seeks to teach With such pain and suffering What’s the goal he wants to reach? I only need a sign To ease my worried mind And I don’t want to lose my faith But to test it so seems wrong And I’m trying to meet half way But I’ve been waiting for so long We’re running out of time And I’ll leave before I find We’ve been waiting for too long We’ve been waiting long enough

Song title: CAN I SLEEP IN YOUR BARN TONIGHT? by Vincent DeCowans (written & composed by Vincent Deshaies) (chorus) Can I sleep in your barn tonight? I’ll be gone before the sun shines it’s first ray of light Milk the cow, feed the cat, lock the gate & be out of sight If you’ll only let me sleep in your barn tonight (verse 1) Countless days, as many nights, out on the road Many towns, out of bounds, many doors shut closed Never found just a place to settle down & change my clothes Feeling lonesome in the face of another night out in the cold (verse 2) It’s been cold, it’s been damp, and it’s been wet In the brush, or the ditches, near the highways where I slept Roaring wheels, under bridges, where the rats chew on your quilt There were times where I thought I was done for, or so I felt

about

On this Motion Picture Soundtrack to the fictional film that perhaps will one day be released as "The Wild Goose Chase"(currently awaiting funding), Alex Black & Vincent DeCowans join forces as THE COOLIES to present you with this classic spaghetti western style sci-fi tragedy that plunges the listener into the lives of the new settlers of the next frontier. Hopelessness and misery dominate the landscape while only foolish little specs of light keep the characters holding on to the thin thread that is the promise of a long awaited savior hero. Families are torn and lives mourned as the quest to find "The One" continues...
